What Sue's Clients are saying

I'd recommend Sue Stevenson (gooddog2.com) to anyone having a behavioral problem with their dog.  We had a small, male German shepherd named Blitz who easily earned his name: his was a body full of hyper, unbridled energy that was, unfortunately, also driven by fear-based aggression.  Blitz was fine with my wife Midge and I, but was very aggressive to any strangers.

In only two personal, at-home visits, Sue had Blitz "parking it" on command when the doorbell rang, or whenever we gave him that command.  Chaos was quickly turned into obedience with Sue's skills.  Blitz responded to her in a very positive way and, also in only the second lesson, Blitz politely and obediently walked on Sue's leash as if they were lifelong buddies!

Sue Stevenson just has a knack for changing dogs' bad behaviors.  She gets our vote for dogs behaving badly.

My name is Andrew I live in Trabuco Canyon CA. Over a year ago I rescued a black lab mix.  Bailey  I got her when she was around eight months old. She was abused and had issues. Bailey had severe separation anxiety I have always had a dog and am very much a animal lover I thought I could handle bBailey's issues and with love and she would be fine. Well her issues where deeper than I thought From just leaving her for a few minutes, she would howl loud and bother the neighbors to shaking and growling at all noises people and other dogs. For the first time I did not know if I could keep her. I would never have dreamed of getting rid of my dog before  But I could not break through with her no matter how much I tried or how much love I gave her  Thankfully I was recommended to Sue by another client of hers. Sue has a special way with dogs, I noticed it with her first visit with Bailey. She recommended Bailey to her doggie boot camp. That is when she takes your dog with her for a period of time and has one on one time with your dog. I was a little nervous about it but I knew this was the last chance I had because what I was doing just was not working  Well just after the first week I saw big improvements  Bailey stayed a few more weeks, some dogs stay longer then others and in Baileys case she needed it. I'm happy to say Bailey is so much better now a joy to be around  I can leave her at home now and not feel guilty or worried about her  I am so glad I found Sue  I highly recommend Her for your dog.

My husband is very impressed with your method of training and amazed in Sugar's quick response to what you are having us do. I am so happy because my husband was not backing us 100% in working with her or getting help, but you have won him over! So we will continue our work with her this week (the WHOLE family) and are looking forward to seeing you again next week and meeting your Kendra. Thank you SO much for taking us on as one of your clients and helping us to make Sugar a completely lovable and SAFE dog member of our family.

Fondly,

When we adopted our rescue dog, Baby, we didn’t know what we were in for! Her previous owner had returned her to the shelter after a mere three weeks, due to her “high energy level.” Now we know exactly what they meant! Fortunately, we were referred to Sue who took control of the situation right away! Not only is she very professional and reliable, she offered us tools that work! Now Baby can wait on the stairs when we open the front door, sit at an open door and wait to be called, and many other social behaviors. We are truly enjoying our dog now that she has been trained. If you need help with your pet, please give Sue a call. You won’t regret it!

Sue Stevenson is an informed, caring, and well respected dog trainer. She molded my strong-willed Labrador Retriever, Grady, into a model canine citizen during her six week doggie boot camp. Without her help, Grady would not be the well-behaved dog he is today.
She clearly unerstands and enjoys working with animals, and more importantly, their owners.
